PROJECT OVERVIEW

LiquidSky is a software development startup providing innovative solutions for streaming interactive content (iCDN). As part of their portfolio, LiquidSky offers a cloud gaming application that features an open platform, ultra-low latency, and a global server base that enables users to play any PC game on any Windows or Android device.

The goal of this project was to create an updated brand as well as the look and feel for the LiquidSky Gaming Android and Desktop applications. My role was to design a seamless user flow based on the information architecture, create wireframes and mockups, and turn them into final design deliverables. We decided to built both applications from scratch which gave me the creative freedom to design a completely different layout and flow, and create new color schemes and brand guidelines to better reflect the company's vision and culture. My main objective was to improve the existing UI design and increase usability for both apps. I lead a team of front-end desktop developers and Android developers to ensure the proper implementation of the UI.

Tools Used

LiquidSky platform provides users with the ability to play video games that usually require a lot of computing power on any Android device, including mobile phones, tablets, Chromebooks, and Android TV. LiquidSky Android app provides users with an easy way to access their Virtual Machines (SkyComputers) via any Android device. By logging into their account, users can select one of three available storefronts - Steam, Origin, and Battle.net - or choose a Windows Desktop option, start a Windows virtual machine, and play any video game in the cloud.

OTHER PROJECTS

Kiosk Mode
One of the projects I am currently working on is a Kiosk mode for LiquidSky gaming application. “Kiosk Mode” will be offered by browser applications (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox etc) to run the LiquidSky app full screen without any browser user interface such as toolbars and menus.
