Hi, I’m Joanna Wrzaszczyk - a digital product designer, creative technology dabbler, and a certified Scrum Master. I help to build beautiful and measurably valuable experiences while keeping the users at the heart of my designs.
My work philosophy
As an Experience Designer, I understand the perfect user interface should look good and work even better. That's why it is important to me to not only stay on top of the most recent design trends and tools, but also have a deep understanding of the engineering aspect of making the user interface I design come to life.
A little about me...
Born and raised in Warsaw, Poland, I spent my childhood and teenage years studying classical piano and voice, and immersing myself in the world of theater and film. Together, these creative fields gave me grounding for my interdisciplinary engagement with film, fine arts, and animation which I later pursued at the prestigious Film Conservatory at SUNY Purchase.
Soon after my graduation, I had an amazing opportunity to work on a project for Vogue Studio. I was asked to create a series of videos inspired by the most recent fashion trends, that would become a part of the set design for a fashion show organized by Vogue. Working on the project, I kept thinking how interesting it would be if I could make my videos interactive and dynamic.
This led to my decision to pursue a master’s degree in Interaction Design at the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU, where I focused my studies on experience design, creative coding, and mixed reality. I spent my time exploring the intersection of technology and design, and learned how to bring together form and function to create something that looks good and performs flawlessly.
In my personal work, I am not afraid of stepping out of my comfort zone. I believe that the choice of tool should follow the idea and I am not afraid to pick up a new skill in order to make my work unique.
